Holistic Healing Arts Therapies
in Iowa and online
nurturing belonging and aliveness for
Misfits, Rebels, and Outcasts
through holistic healing arts, nature based expressive arts therapy, mental health counseling, and community care for
Self, Spiritual, and Relational Connection
in midlife and other life transitions
You are tired of struggling and feeling depleted, misunderstood, lost, and alone.
What if you could feel deeply supported, more connected to yourself; others; something greater, and a felt-sense of belonging; worthiness; and joy?
holistic healing arts and nature based therapies
for nurturing a felt sense of belonging,
acceptance, and aliveness.
I use a holistic, integrative, and intersectional approach that welcomes your mind, body, and spirit into the space and process through expressive arts, movement, nature, spirituality, and community.
You feel life and relationships aren’t turning out quite like you thought they would.
You tried to create a life that society or your family expected and yet you have a feeling this is not right for you and it is impacting your well-being.
Maybe you never quite felt like you fit in or were able figure things out like others seemed to.
You might be going through major changes in life such as:
needing to shift in your work or career due to burnout or distress
transitioning from a religion that no longer aligns with your values
realizing late in life that you are neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, for example)
exploring your identity or how you identify
coming to grips with the idea your coping strategies or addictions (such as sex, porn, or relationships) are causing you and your loved ones distress
re-examining or redefining relationships, intimacy, identity, and roles and experiencing relational conflict, ruptures, a time of reckoning or healing
feeling disconnected from yourself, others including partners or perspective partners, friends, family, colleagues, community, your spirituality, purpose, or path
experiencing feelings of grief and loss
Feeling exhausted, burned out, sad, ashamed, uncertain, misunderstood, lost, and alone.
Maybe you have tried conventional therapy and worked on emotional regulation techniques, controlling, challenging or redirecting your thoughts, and maybe even how to communicate with others. You may have found some of this helpful but it only took you so far or maybe it didn’t work for you much at all.
Perhaps you have even done some trauma and relational work and experienced some healing.
You might feel like you are tired of feeling like there is something that is broken or needs to be fixed or that there is something deeper inside that is wanting your attention.
You know you need something that is as different and unique as you; something that is more holistic, non-pathologizing, intersectional, empowering and experiential vs sitting across the room from someone talking for an hour.
You want to feel nourished, deeply connected, accepted, supported, empowered,
and aligned with your sense of purpose and aliveness.
You want to feel at home with yourself,
living as your true self;
that you belong,
just as you are.

group therapy and therapeutic groups
Clinical group therapy offerings are closed and confidential and for adults working on addressing and treating a mental health diagnosis. Group therapy provides the opportunity to gain important insights from the group setting and dynamic itself that may be missed or take much longer than in individual therapy alone. The safe container of the group as well as feedback from the trained facilitator and other members can allow for deep emotional and relational work. Group members must reside in Iowa to participate.
Therapeutic group supports are for adults interested in exploring areas related to well-being and self-development. While therapeutic groups can be beneficial for mental health issues, the focus is not on treatment, but more so the benefits of the experience. Because these groups are not therapy, members can participate from anywhere.
Community offerings allow for more access to therapeutic and wellness related experiences. These may take the form of activities, groups, workshops, or events. Community offerings may take place in the community such as art studio, gallery, or museum, yoga studio, wellness, retreat, or nature center, park, or festival or at your business, organization, or conference.
These may include educational or experimental elements or both, depending on the need.
